E4 Heads To San Jose, Costa Rica, For Significant Outreach
E4 MISSIONS will once again be journeying to Costa Rica from July 18-26 for a major outreach to the capital city of San Jose. Just a few months ago our E4 team was able to participate in an outreach to the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica and the city of Liberia with great success. During that outreach we were able to partner with 50 churches, speak to close to 5,000 students at 10 school assemblies, and host a Night of Hope with 3,300 people in attendance. At the conclusion of the outreach it was determined that 1,200 people made commitments to Christ during the Night of Hope and over 2,000 students responded to the gospel during the school outreaches. Lastly, several hundred children made professions of faith during the children's programming at the Night of Hope (see photo below) that was directed by our E4 team. The great news is that all of these people are being diligently followed up by the local churches and being plugged into ongoing discipleship.
On this trip to San Jose, which has a population of 356,056, we will be doing a large evangelistic outreach in a large local park with 500 children expected. Our partnering church here in the United States, Bethel Church of Chandler, Arizona, will be bringing 1,000 evangelistic soccer balls to give out to the children with a QR code that takes them to an evangelistic presentation. We will also be working with over 30 churches in the region and currently are scheduled to do six school assemblies at high schools and university campuses. PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR THESE OUTREACHES. In preparation for the assemblies I was asked to put a basketball card together that I can sign and students can take home with them. On the back it has a scripture and link to our E4 website where I will be building evangelistic content to engage them after we return home. You can see the front and back of the card below. We will once again conclude the week by doing another Night of Hope for the entire city.
